Free Legal English Exercises: Re-writing in plain English 3

Hello Everyone,
In this week’s exercise, I’d like you to redraft some legislation into plain English.
To find out more, please see the video below 🙂

Here is the text I’d like you to ‘translate’ into plain English:

Art. 144. [Prohibition of immission]
The property owner should, when exercising his right, refrain from activities that would interfere with the use of neighboring property beyond the average measure resulting from the socio-economic purpose of the property and local relations.

For legal English teachers:

In the video, I talked about how legal English teachers might be able to use this idea as a short writing task in their classes. For more information about classroom writing activities, please click here.

To see the answers for this exercise, you need to create an account which only takes a few seconds:

• first, you have to sign up to my FREE course

• second, you’ll get access to the answers and all the legal English exercises on my website

It’s as simple as that 🙂

This video shows you how to do it.

**UPDATE**

My video with my comments is now online. To see my comments, please log in and look for this lesson 🙂
